Govt Announces Coders Training Piloting in 4 Cities

The government of Ghana says it will be launching the pilot programme for the flagship One Million Coders initiative.
The event will take place on April 16 at Ghana India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.
It is therefore inviting applications from the public to enrol.
“There is a website that has been created. This is the pilot. The pilot will happen on April 16. It will be launched by His Excellency the President himself…Over the next one week, the portal is going to be opened,” the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George said at a presser on April 9
The initial programme encompasses six courses in three disciplines.
“You can go online, click on it and fill out the form as an applicant. There will be a review of the application and if you are shortlisted, you will get a notification. We are taking applications for people to go to physical training centres in Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani and Bolgatanga.”
The launch, he said, will simultaneously take place at the four centres.
