GoldBod Surpasses 2025 Small-scale Gold Export Target

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has surpassed its target for small-scale gold export this year.
This milestone was attained on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.
“Yesterday, the Ghana Gold Board surpassed its 2025 small-scale gold export target of 100 tons, generating over $10 billion dollars in foreign exchange for the country,” the board said in a Facebook post.
In October 2025, the CEO of the Board, Sammy Gyamfi, reported a record high small-scale gold export in volume and value.
At the time, he said a total of $8 billion had been generated in forex so far representing 81,719.2289kg of gold.
Sammy attributed the development to aggressive reforms implemented in the gold sector.
