GNFS Gets 23 New Vehicles

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has received 23 new vehicles to augment its fleet of vehicles in fighting fire and responding to emergencies.

These vehicles include 19 Pickups, three Command Cars and a Bushfire Response Rapid Intervention Vehicle (BFRRIV).

The government handed over the vehicles to the Service during the launch of GNFS’s National Annual Bushfire Prevention Campaign on November 15, 2024.

In a statement, the Service said the BFRRIV was donated by the π‘­π’Šπ’“π’† π‘¨π’Šπ’… 𝑼𝑲 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π‘°π’π’•π’†π’“π’π’‚π’•π’Šπ’π’π’‚π’ π‘«π’†π’—π’†π’π’π’‘π’Žπ’†π’π’• π‘»π’†π’‚π’Ž.

β€œThis unique vehicle, equipped to navigate challenging terrains, is set to revolutionize bushfire management, helping to protect farmlands and natural vegetation from devastating bushfires.”

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has bolstered its operational capacity with the addition of 23 New Utility Vehicles by the kind courtesy of the Government of Ghana. The vehicles include 19 Pickups and 3 Command Cars, which are expected to enhance the Service’s efficiency across the country.

Hon. Henry Quartey (MP), Minister for the Interior at the event urged the GNFS to prioritize the maintenance of the vehicles to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
