Gmet: Dry And Dusty Weather Expected To Relax During The Week
The Ghana Meteorological Agency (Gmet) has said the unusual weather being experienced across the country is expected to come to an end within the course of this week.
Experts say there is a high level of air pollution.
This condition, according to the Gmet, will last for only a few days.
“The dry and dusty weather being experienced across the country is expected to relax during the week”, it forecast and noted that details will be shared in the weekly outlook which will be released later today.
For today, February 20, 2023, the Agency predicts that Aflao, Accra, Kasoa, Cape Coast, Takoardi, Axim, Ho, Koforidua, Akim Oda, Kumasi, Obuasi, Tarkwa, Sefwi Bekwai, Kete Krachi, Kintampo, Goaso, Sunyani, and Takyiman will experience dry/hazy/partially sunny weather in the afternoon and a dry and hazy evening.
Meanwhile, Yendi, Tamale, Bole, Damongo, Tamale, Wa, and Narilegu will experience a dust haze in the afternoon and evening.
Residents have been advised to use nose masks when stepping out to avoid inflammation, oxidative stress, immunosuppression, and mutagenicity cells throughout our body impacting the lungs, heart, and brain among other organs and ultimately leading to disease.
Additionally, they are advised to close their windows to avoid the outdoor air.
