Ghana Take Next 2026 World Cup Qualifier In June

The Black Stars will have their next 2026 World Cup qualifier in the sixth month of the coming year following their win and loss respectively against Madagascar and Comoros in their opening qualifiers this month.

The Blacks Stars hold three points, placed 4th and still have a chance of qualifying for the tournament with their eight remaining games in Group I which houses Madagascar, Mali, Comoros, Central Africa Republic and Chad.

The group is led by unbeaten Comoros who humbled Central Africa Republic by 4-2 in their opener on November 17, followed by Mali and Madagascar who hold four and three points respectively.

Ghana will take their next qualifier in June 2024 during which they are expected to up their performance for the wins.

They will take on Mali and Central Africa Republic between June 3 and 11.

The first will be played in Mali while the second will be staged in a yet-to-be-disclosed venue in Ghana.

But ahead of that, the Black Stars will play in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire in January 2024.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament will be staged in Canada, the USA and Mexico between June and July 2026.

Ghana will be seeking to make their fifth World Cup appearance with the qualifiers after qualifying for the tournament in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2022.

During the tournament last year, Ghana was eliminated in the group stage.
