Ghana Police Service and YEA Enter MoU to Recruit 12,000 Youth

The Ghana Police Service and the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to recruit 12,000 Ghanaian youths.
The recruits will be taken through rigorous training to augment the efforts of the Service.
The ceremony took place on May 19 at the Ministry of the Interior and was witnessed by the Minister for the Interior and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment.
According to the Minister for Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, this is a strategic move to tackle unemployment and enhance the capacity of the law enforcement agency.
“This strategic partnership will enhance the operational capacity of the Ghana Police while creating thousands of job opportunities for our youth.”
He stated that the collaboration is key to national development, and the Ministry of the Interior remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and youth empowerment.
Meanwhile, the YEA says it reflects its unwavering commitment to creating sustainable job opportunities and empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to national development.
