Ghana Is On The Brink Of Economic Stability- Finance Minister

The Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, says Ghana will soon witness a whole new era of economic stability and inclusive growth.
According to him, this will be the resultant effect of efforts by the government.
“The progress we’ve made gives me great confidence that we are on the brink of a new era of stability, resilience, and inclusive growth.”
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, he said the government was steadily closing the “difficult” chapter in the country’s economic history, pledging to safeguard Ghanaians from such a situation.
“We are steadily closing this difficult chapter in our economic history and doing so with a solemn pledge: never again shall our people be subjected to such hardship.”
“Ghana will rise stronger from this episode in our history, and together, we will build an economy that delivers for every citizen.”
This followed his trip to China which he said was marked by constructive and forward-looking engagements with China’s Ministry of Finance, China Exim Bank as well as key financial and contractor creditors.
According to him, the discussions represented a monumental step in efforts to bring finality to the debt restructuring process his government “inherited”.
“This mission was not just about numbers and negotiations — it was about safeguarding the future of our economy and the wellbeing of every Ghanaian.”
