Ghana Backs Trump’s Proposed Peace Framework For Russia-Ukraine War Resolution
Ghana has endorsed the proposed peace framework of US President Donald J. Trump for the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In a statement, the government of Ghana reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to global peace, stability and principles of international cooperation.
“In this spirit, Ghana welcomes President Donald J. Trump’s proposed peace framework aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.”
It is the view of the West African country that any initiative, which prioritises dialogue, mutual respect and the cessation of hostilities, deserves serious consideration by the international community.
It added that the proposed framework underscores the importance of protecting civilian lives, restoring territorial integrity and fostering conditions for long-term reconciliation.
It therefore encouraged all parties to confront the negotiations in good faith and to place the welfare of their people above political differences.
