Ghana Announces Free Visa For Participants of African Descent For Diaspora Summit 2025

Ghana has announced free visas for people of African descents set to participate in the upcoming Diaspora Summit 2025.

In a statement, it said the move aimed at fostering cooperation and forging enduring partnerships for the pursuit of the common good.

The deadline for online registration via www.diasporasummitghana.org for participation in the Summit is Monday, December 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, it noted holders of Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, Mauritius, Seychelles, South Africa, Kenya, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Singapore, Sao Tome and Principe, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Rwanda, Morocco, Guyana, Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Malawi, and Grenada passports do not require visas.

This is in line with the agreed Visa Waiver Agreements between Ghana and these countries.

 

In addition, it said Diplomatic, Official and Service Passport holders from Brazil, Colombia, China, Cuba, Germany, Sudan, Türkiye, Namibia, Hungary, Iran, India, Equatorial Guinea, St Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Venezuela, Malta, and the United Arab Emirates also do not require visas.

The summit will be held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from December 19 to 20, 2025, in Accra.

“The Ministry looks forward to welcoming participants to the Diaspora Summit 2025 and encourages all registered participants to promptly proceed to Ghana Missions abroad for visa processing.”
