I.W.D: Queen Mother Encourages Women To Believe In Themselves
International Women’s Day takes place every year on 8 March. It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women and to create positive change for women and girls.
All around the world, people are demanding gender equality and protesting against gender inequality.
Nana Yaa Boadu, ntomahemaa in the Ashanti Region, on the occasion congratulated all women for their hard work and contributions.
According to Nana Yaa, women in the past were not recognized and were denied access to education, politics, business and many others .
She is however glad to know that a new wave is blowing and that woman empowerment is gradually gaining grounds.
She, therefore, encouraged women to be bold and hardworking in supporting their home as well as make great impact on the communities.
Nana Yaa Boadu advised women to develop the mentality of being capable of all things, irrespective of their cultural background.
