GHA Announces Traffic Management Arrangement on Madina-Accra Road

The Ghana Highways Authority (GHA) says the North-South bound carriageway joining Madina to Accra will be reduced to three lanes.
This will last for four months and is part of the ongoing construction works on the Accra-Tema Motorway and Extensions Project(19,5km).
The reduction in lanes is particularly to facilitate the central pier construction works for the expansion of the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange Bridge.
“This adjustment will take effect from Sunday, 22nd June 2025, and is expected to last for four (4) months.”
The Authority explained that the lane reduction is necessary to provide safe working space for construction personnel and to ensure the continued safety of all road users.
It therefore urged motorists to exercise caution, follow directional signs, and cooperate with traffic management officials throughout the duration of the work.
