GFA Fines Hearts of Oak ¢20k

Hearts of Oak has been slapped with a ¢20,000 fine by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee.

A notice by the Committee on Tuesday said ¢10,000 of the amount is suspended for the rest of the season.

This is in response to misconduct following their Ghana Premier League match against Young Apostles FC on March 8, 2025.

The club was found guilty of allowing unaccredited persons, specifically supporters, into the safe zone, compromising matchday security and bringing the game into disrepute.

The club has since been warned to desist from further misconduct, adding that severe sanctions would be meted out.

In a related development, the Committee has also handed a GHc10,000 fine and a suspended three-month ban on Division One side Elmina Sharks for misconduct.

The club was charged with misconduct after a player and supporters assaulted match officials during a match against Swedru All Blacks on February 16, 2025.
