GFA Credits 12th Player For Black Stars Triumph Against Mali

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has stated that the overwhelming support of the Ghanaian spectators at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday night made the difference.
He credited the supporters for the triumph that saw Ghana grip its lead in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers table.
“It was a hard-fought battle on the pitch, and the energy, passion, and unyielding spirit of the 12th man in the stands made all the difference. Your voices, your cheers, and your unwavering belief lifted our team when it mattered most.”
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the good people of Ghana for the tremendous support shown to the Black Stars in our crucial encounter… On behalf of the players, technical team, and management, we say thank you, Ghana!”
Ghana’s next challenge will be against the Central African Republic on October 6, 2025, followed by a home game against Comoros on October 10, 2025.
With their sights set on qualifying for the World Cup, Ghana will need to maintain their strong performance to secure a spot.
