GES Releases Outstanding Feeding Grants for Special Schools and Perishables for SHS/SHTS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released the outstanding feeding grants for all Special Schools, covering the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the first term of the 2025/2026 academic year.

In addition, the management of GES has released all pending perishables owed to Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) for the period from July 29 to October 17, 2025. These perishable items, which include food supplies meant to support school feeding programmes, are aimed at ensuring students have access to proper nutrition during the academic year.

According to the GES statement, “all funds have been successfully transferred into the respective accounts of Special Schools, Senior High Schools, and Senior High Technical Schools nationwide.”

Heads of Special Schools, SHS, and SHTS have been reminded to submit official receipts acknowledging the funds received to the Director-General through their respective Regional Accountants. The management emphasized the importance of accountability in the utilization of these funds.
GES also expressed its commitment to supporting education across the country, stating,

“Management counts on the cooperation of all Heads and reiterates its continued commitment to supporting effective teaching, learning, and inclusive education across the country.”

The release of these outstanding payments and supplies comes as part of the GES’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the school feeding programme and ensure that students, particularly those in Special Schools, receive consistent support for their academic and nutritional needs.
