GES Invites Applications For Promotion
The Ghana Education Service (GES) is inviting applications from teachers and officers for promotion to various ranks.
The ranks include Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II and Principal Superintendent.
Application opens on Monday, August 18 and ends Friday, September 5, 2025.
Qualifications
Persons aspiring for Deputy Director ranks must have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Director I in or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since date- except for the periods of approved leave of absence.
Applicants seeking promotion to Assistant Director I must have been promoted to the rank of Assistant Director II in or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since that date- except for the periods of approved leave of absence.
Those aspiring for Assistant Director II must have been promoted to the rank of Principal Superintendent in or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since that date- except for the periods of approved leave of absence.
Meanwhile, Principal Superintendent applicants must have been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent I in or before 2020 and should have been continuously at post since that date- except for the periods of approved leave of absence.
It added that an applicant who has obtained an approved undergraduate degree will be automatically placed on the Principal Superintendent rank.
On the other hand, applicants who wish to rely on Master’s/Doctorate degrees to join the interviews out of turn should note the following;
-Master’s/PhD programme should be on the approved GES course of study.
-The Master’s/PhD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.
-Applicants who wish to use the Master’s/PhD certificate for ADI, ADII and Deputy Director promotion should have obtained their certificate in or before 2022.

Interested parties are directed to complete the APPLICATION FORM online via https://bit.ly/gespromotions2025 or scan the QR code below to apply.
As part of the application, applicants are to upload a passport-size photograph (in jpeg, jpg or png format), last promotion or appointment or upgrading letter, and the highest academic certificate used for applying for the promotion.
The GES has directed applicants to upload all documents in PDF (except the passport picture), and they should be clear and legible.
