GAF Exposes Recruitment Fraud
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has discredited an internet link that advertises recruitment for the year 2023/2024.
The link is being circulated on platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook.
In a statement, the GAF said the link was “fraudulent” and noted it was not undertaking recruitment at this particular point in time.
“GAF wishes also to state that it is not conducting enlistment or recruitment at this material time and has not advertised such for the year 2023/204”.
It directed all persons with an interest in joining the army to look up for an update from the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times newspapers.
“GAF once again reiterates that it does not advertise on social media and does not engage middlemen in such exercise.”
The public has on that note been advised to desist from paying money through Mobile Money and any other means to scrupulous persons behind the fraudulent scheme.
It noted that such advertisements must be reported to the nearest Military installation of police service to enable it “nib their fraudulent activities in the bud”.
