France EURO Exit Gives Madrid Chance to Unveil Mbappé Soon
Real Madrid have finally gotten a sooner opportunity to unveil their new signing, Kylian Mbappé after France exited the European Championship on Tuesday.
Madrid last month announced reaching an agreement with the former PSG forward on a free transfer for five years; however, he is yet to sign a contract with the club to seal the deal.
France’s crumbled form gave Spain the chance to book a semi-final spot ahead of them.
The 25-year-old French Captain following their exit characterized his campaign as a failure.
“My competition? It was difficult,” Mbappé told reporters.
“It was a failure. We had the ambition to be European champions; I had the ambition to be European champions. We aren’t that, so it’s a failure.
“It’s football. We have to move on. It’s been a long year. I’m going to go on holiday and get some rest — that’ll do me a lot of good, and I’ll try and come back strongly.”
Meanwhile, at Bernabéu, the Los Blancos are preparing to welcome and unveil the forward on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
In a press statement, they said their President, Florentino Pérez, will welcome Mbappé to Real Madrid City for the formal signing of the contract that links our new player to the club for the next five seasons.
“Following the presentation, Kylian Mbappé will speak to the media in the press room at the Santiago Bernabéu,” the statement added
