Fire Guts High-tension Wooden Pole at Sapieman

Fire has gutted an Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) fuse cables and a high-tension pole at Sapieman near Macedonia Junction in the Greater Accra Region.

A statement by the Ghana National Service on Tuesday said the Anyaa Fire Station responded swiftly to the electrical fire.

Deploying the firefighting appliance immediately, the crew met fire that had partially damaged wooden ECG fuse cables and a high-tension pole.

“Firefighters managed to control the situation and successfully salvaged a 200KVA transformer. No injuries were reported during the incident.”
