Fiorentina Signs Tariq Lamptey

Ghana international Tariq Lamptey has joined Serie A side Fiorentina on a reported four-year deal.

The move from Brighton & Hove Albion was confirmed in a social media post by the Italian club on Monday.

Reports indicate that the 24-year-old defender will provide backup to Brazilian right wing-back Dodo, repping in the number 48 jersey.

After multiple injury setbacks, the Black Stars player made just 15 Premier League appearances last season and managed two goals.

Lamptey was named among Otto Addo’s squad for the Matchday 7 and 8 fixtures of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali, respectively.
