Inaki Williams Joins Hughton Squad

Athletic Bilbao forward, Inaki Williams has arrived in Ghana ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote D’Ivoire.

He joined the team on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

A video of his arrival at the lodging of the team has been posted on the official page of the Black Stars on X.

His arrival in the country was delayed by an illness he suffered which ruled him out of his Club’s recent fixtures. He has however been cleared to play in the AFCON.

It brings to 26, the number of players in camp.

Meanwhile, the nation is awaiting the arrival of Kudus Mohammed, who is expected in the country today, according to reports.

Hughton’s side has been in rigorous training for the past three days at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Aberankese in Kumasi for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament (AFCON).

Ghana is paired in Group B in the AFCON tournament with Cape Verde, Egypt and Mozambique.

Their first game will be against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024, and take on Egypt four days later before their final group match against Mozambique on January 2024.
