Semenyo Stays with Bournemouth till 2029

Ghana International Antoine Semenyo has penned a deal extending his contract with AFC Bournemouth for five more years.

The English Premier League (EPL) club announced the news in a post on X, formerly Twitter on Monday as they expressed excitement about the decision by a member of their “key” players.

“A key member of our squad is here to stay. Five more years.”

Semenyo’s impressive performance after his academic spell at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College began his career with Bristol City in 2017 where he netted 21 goals in 125 appearances.

He was in July 2018 loaned to New Port County where he continued playing until January 2019 when he was recalled by Bristol. He scored six goals in 32 appearances.

Before he was contracted by Bournemouth in 2023 in a deal worth £10 million, the 24-year-old had been with Sunderland, also on loan for six months.

In January 2023, AFC Bournemouth secured a permanent stay for the striker in a four-and-a-half-year deal.

He has since made 211 appearances and has been involved in 62 goals across all competitions, 36 goals and 26 assists.
