ECG Blames Thursday’s Power Outage on Rain
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has attributed Thursday’s power disruption in parts of the Greater Accra Region to the rains.
In a notice, it said, “The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) wishes to inform our cherished customers that the heavy rainstorm that hit parts of the Greater Accra Region today (Thursday, 26th June 2025) has caused outages within our network.”
It noted that its engineers were working assiduously to repair the faults and restore the power supply.
Meanwhile, it urged the public to report individual/localised outages and incidents of fallen or sagging conductors within customers’ vicinities.
It added, “We thank our cherished customers for their understanding and cooperation.”
