EC Begins Recruitment For General Election

The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has begun processes for the recruitment of temporary staff for the upcoming general elections.

The EC is employing only Returning Officers and Deputy Returning Officers, it said in a notice on Monday, February 5, 2024.

However, these officers will also work as Registration Supervisors, Deputy Registration Supervisors, Exhibition Supervisors and Deputy Exhibition Supervisors.

The Commission is receiving applications from across the country. Applicants must have at least a first degree in any field and reasonable knowledge about elections plus they must be proficient in the use of computers, quantitative and analytically skillful, and good at collating data and figures.

They are also expected to possess physical and mental alertness, a firm and fair character, the ability to work under pressure, a high level of honesty and integrity, good team player and political neutrality.

The deadline for the application is February 16.
