Drones Banned From Mahama’s Swearing-in Ceremony

The Ministry of National Security has banned the operation of all forms of drones at the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect, John Dramani Mahama on January 7.

This was relayed by the Ministry of Information on January 2, 2025.

It noted that drones shall not be allowed at the Black Stars square and its environs during the ceremony.

“The Ministry of National Security announces a directive prohibiting the operation of drones at the Presidential inaugural ceremony on January 7, 2025.”

This, it stated, applies to all forms of drones including commercial and recreational ones.

It assured, “The Ministry of National Security is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for the presidential inauguration.”

It therefore urged drone operators to comply with the directive.
