Dr. John Kumah Commissions 50,000 Capacity Catfish Pond And Bridge
Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Dr. John Kumah (Esq) on Sunday, May 23, 2021, commissioned a bridge on the Saaman river that has collapsed over fifty years.
The bridge will connect three communities in the Ejisu Constituency, including Adako Jachie, Kokoobra and Okyerekrom.
According to the hardworking legislator, the bridge was constructed with 100% support from private partners.
The former Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme chanced on the opportunity to commission four major ponds which had a total of 50, 000 catfish for the first phase of the Youth in Aquaculture project. The second phase will also be another 50, 000 capacity catfish pond projected to generate about Two million Ghana Cedis annually.
Speaking at the short ceremony, Deputy Finance Minister-designate expressed that the project is expected to create hundreds of jobs for the Youth in the Constituency which forms part of the Ejisu Club 100 project.
Present at the commissioning were Chiefs of the three beneficiary communities, Adako Jachie hene, Nana Kokoobrahene and Okyerekrom hene. Also, present were constituency executives and jubilant community members.
