The management of Asante Kotoko have announced that head coach Mariano Barreto has departed the shores of the country to Portugal.
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced that Mariano Barreto has departed the country to renew his UEFA Pro coaching license.
According to the club’s statement, Barreto will arrive in Ghana on May 27 to continue his duties at the Kumasi-based club.
“Our Head Coach, Mariano Barreto departs to his country Portugal and returns on 27th May 2021. The short trip is necessary to aid our gaffer renew his UEFA Pro coaching license.” the club’s official statement reads.
In his absence, Assistant Coach Pedro Manual will take charge of the team in the intervening period.
“In the intervening period, our Assistant Coach Pedro Manual will take charge of the team in preparation for our game against Aduana Stars.”
The Porcupines are lying on the second position though the same points with archival Hearts of Oak.
