Dr. Adusei Dua Adjudged Best KATH Junior Doctor
Senior Medical Officer and second-year Resident of Family Medicine Department at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr. Albert Adusei Dua, has been adjudged the Best Doctor for the year 2023.
He won the Best Doctor award in the Junior Category this year.
He received the award on Thursday, December 21, 2023, during the hospital’s annual Thanksgiving and Award ceremony, where the longest-serving members of staff and distinguished staff were rewarded for their dedication and hard work.
The award was presented by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Hospital, Dr. Otchere Addai-Mensah, and the Chairman of the hospital’s Board, Ambassador Effah Appenteng.
Aside from the bragging right, Dr. Adusei Dua took home a 43-inch flat-screen television from Hisense.
About Dr. Adusei Dua
Dr. Albert Adusei Dua is a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, where he studied Medicine.
He has three years of experience working at the Emergency Medicine Department as a medical officer.
He is also a proud Old Boy of Opoku Ware School in Kumasi (an Okatakyie, BK 562), where he studied General Science.
Dr. Dua is a co-founder and Music Director of one of the most well-known choirs in Ghana, the Kumasi Evangel Choir-Ghana (KEC).
In collaboration with the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Pediatric Cancer Awareness team, KEC travels far and wide across the country, touching the hearts of people with sweet melodies to raise funds to support children living with cancer.
