Dede Ayew Joins Ligue 1 Side Le Havre
Black Stars captain, Andre Dede Ayew has finally laid hands on a Club after he was released by English side Nottingham Forest during the summer.
He was rendered free and failed to secure a club until last Friday when he completed his move to Ligue 1 side Le Havre Athletic Club.
It will be his second club in France following his stint at Olympic de Marseille
The forward expressed his joy in an Instagram post on Sunday confirming the completion of the move.
“I am very happy to join @hac_foot and return to Ligue1, thank you to the supporters for the welcome, to the managers and staff for the trust, looking forward to being on the pitch. Now to work Go e HAC!!”
The Black Stars captain missed two recent friendly games against the United States of America and Mexico. At the time, it was speculated that he was out scouting for a new club.
Ayew moved to Forest in February 2023 after the termination of his contract with Qatar sports club, Al Sadd SC in a mutual agreement. He was left without a club for five months after his release by Forest.
The 33-year-old made 12 appearances for the English side and never found the net. During one of his appearances, Ayew squandered a penalty kick attempt against Tottenham.
