DCOP Kwesi Ofori Pulls Out Of Police Service

The Director-General of the Ghana Police Service Public Affairs Directorate, DCOP Samuel Kwesi Ofori has pulled out of the Service after his decades of service to the country.

At the National Police Training School at Tesano in Accra on July 20, 2022, a pulling-out ceremony was held in honour of DCOP Kwesi.

Addressing the public, he indicated that it marked his last day in the service.

In his speech he said joining the Police service was to make a difference for “our communities, our families, victims of crime, the helpless, and struggling souls. It was never about the benefits, power or fame.”

“Let me emphasise that the police in contemporary times, spearheaded by Dr George Akufo Dampare, has brought a paradigm shift in policing to serve our people and to serve our people better, the rule of law should be the bedrock of our posture. “

He, therefore, urged Ghanaians to embrace this paradigm shift.

His pull-out comes on the back of his attainment of the mandatory retirement age of 60.
