Curfew On Sampa Reviewed to Six Hours
The Minister for Interior has reviewed the current hours of curfew in Sampa Township in Jaman North District of the Bono Region to six hours.
The 10:00 pm to 4:00 am outdoor restriction took effect on Thursday, September 4, 2025, following the advice of the Bono Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument.
In a statement, the Minister reaffirmed the total ban on the carrying of arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons by all persons.
The Minister warned that any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
He further urged Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them.
He also encouraged them to use non-violent means to channel their grievances into ensuring peace in the area.
