Curfew on Sampa Renewed
The Minister for Interior, Muntaka Mubarak by Executive Instrument has renewed the curfew on Sampa in Jaman North District of the Bono Region.
The town will be under curfew from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am each day effective Thursday, June 5, 2025, a statement by the Minister read in part.
He also maintained the total ban on carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons.
“Any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”
The measure comes on the back of advice by the Bono Regional Security Council.
The Minister urged Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their grievances into ensuring peace in the area.
