Court adjourns Sosu’s case to Nov. 16

The Kaneshie District Court in Accra has adjourned the case of Member of Parliament for Madina Constituency, Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu to November 16, 2021.

The adjournment follows the communication that the embattled MP is out of the country on Parliamentary duties.

The notice was forwarded to the police service by the Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Alban Bagbin.

The police service announced that it has formally filed charges against the MP they’ve had a hard time trying to arrest for allegedly engaging in criminal activity during a joint protest over a deplorable road network in his constituency last month, October 25.

He has therefore been charged with unlawfully blocking public roads and destruction of public property.

However, following the demonstration over the poor road network, reports indicate that the road contractor has returned to the site.
