Construction of Obama Presidential Centre to commence in 2021
Former President of the United States of America, Barack Obama has announced the construction of the Barack Obama Presidential Centre, which will digitize the record of Obama’s presidency, in 2021.
This follows “a comprehensive federal regulatory review process” which ended in the year 2020.
The former president in a post expressed excitement at the new development.
Along with the thousands of jobs the project will create, he hopes it will serve as a catalyst for a lasting investment.
“That’s why we are working with local partners to create new destination to help inspire visitors from hope to action, breath new life into the park and deliver real benefit to the community we love.”
“Getting to this point would not have been possible without many Chicagoans who have been a part of the project. So I want to thank each and every person out there who helped us reach this milestone and for their continued partnership in the years to come”, he added.
The Obama Presidential Center comprising of a Presidential Library, playing grounds, new gardens, walking trails and bike paths, will be located at the Jackson Park in Chicago.
