Construction of 7-storey Car Park to Commence at Accra International Airport

The government has announced the commencement of seven-storey car park at the Accra International Airport (AIA).
Works will begin mid-year.
The facility will have 2000 car capacity and forms part of plans of the Ghana Airports Company Limited to expand and modernise facilities to improve the travel experience.
This will address the inadequacy and congestion with the current car park at Terminal 3 which takes up to 513 cars.
Additional facilities will include 4000m² retail for shopping mall and restaurants, Sky view lounge to observe flight take off and landings,
conference facility and business centre and a two in one Airport Hotel.
According to Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the government spokesperson, the hotels will include one budget hotel with 250 rooms and one luxury hotel with 120 room to accommodate overnight stays for grounded flight.
