Coach Anthony Lokko Optimistic Of Top Four Finish With International Allies

International Allies gaffer, Anthony Lokko, has revealed that he is overly optimistic to finish 2020/21 season in top four in spite of unavailability of poster boy Victorien Adebayor.

Adebayor’s influence in the season that was cancelled due to the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic was exponential-getting more than half of International Allies goals.

Nonetheless, experienced tactician, Anthony Lokko believes that he has equally good players to fill the vacuum created by the Nigerian sterling performer.

Speaking on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso, in an exclusive interview revealed that every team is beatable and will work assiduously to achieve top four birth.

“We are hugely on course to equip ourselves for the new season. Though Adebayor’s transfer has created vacuum in the club, I am working indefatigably to fill that space especially when the core of the team is around.”

When quizzed about the target for the Accra based team, he disclosed that, our target in the upcoming season is to at least finish within the top four.”

He reckoned also that every team is beatable due to the changes resulting from the outbreak of Coronavirus disease. Only 25% supporters will be allowed to watch football matches when the league resumes as part of Government measures to mitigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This season’s league will be different from the previous ones due to the changes that have come due to COVID-19 pandemic. The big clubs who always find their gaining steam from their huge followers will not have it again following the measures taken to combat the spread of COVID-19.”

“Every team is beatable, and International Allies will cause a lot of surprises,” he concluded.

International Allies will begin the season with a home game against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
