Clubs Have The Right To FILM Their Matches-Frederick Acheampong

Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Frederick Acheampong, has stated that Premier League clubs have the right to film their matches after applying to film it.

There has been an issue between the football governing body, Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Premier League giants Asante Kotoko about filming of matches with VEO.

But the brainy football administrator believes that the issue at hand shouldn’t have gotten to this stage and must be resolved amicably for peace to prevail.

“We shouldn’t have reached where we are now because it is a simple matter to be a tussle between the GFA and Asante Kotoko,” said Frederick Acheampong on Opemsuo 104.7 Fm evening sports show, Pramaso.

The astute Journalist reckoned that the Premier League clubs have the right to film their matches after seeking the necessary approval, and, the Football Association cannot prevent them especially when it’s for technical reasons.

“The clubs have the right to film their matches after following the right procedure to do so. I do not think the Ghana Football Association can prevent clubs from filming their matches or force them get their videos from the sponsors of the Ghana Premier League, StarTime.”

After a series of banter with Kotoko, the Ghana Football Association has called on the clubs for a dialogue to find a tactful way to deal with the situation at hand.
