Cheddar’s IEA Evening Encounter Rescheduled

The founder and Leader of the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar will not be appearing on the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) Presidential Encounter as earlier planned and announced.

He was scheduled for the first encounter slated for later today, September 18, 2024. However, the IEA notes that his session has been postponed.

According to IEA, the postponement was triggered by unavoidable circumstances.

This means that the first Presidential Encounter will be with Alan Kyerematen on September 24 which will be followed by others slated for Tuesday, 1 October 2024, Tuesday, 8 October 2024 and Tuesday, 15 October 2024.

In the course of the Evening Encounter, the Presidential hopeful gets the chance to make a 30-minute presentation followed by a one-and-half-hour question-and-answer session.

The questions will be taken from invited Civil Society Organisations, Associations, Private Sector Institutions, Public Sector Institutions, Political Parties, Diplomatic Communities, Faith-Based Organizations, Labour Unions, etc.

“The purpose of the Evening Encounters and the Debates is to provide a platform for the Candidates to present their visions, plans, and strategies to the electorate and allow the electorate to ask questions to enable them to make informed choices on Election Day,” it said in a statement.

The Institute anticipates these Encounters will promote constructive political discourse, focused on issues and policies, and thereby help deepen multiparty democracy and good governance in Ghana.
