Black Queens Crush Russia 4-0 to Maintain Perfect Start in Pink Ladies Cup Tourney

The Black Queens strengthened their title credentials at the Pink Ladies Cup with another dominant display, defeating Russia 4-0 to maintain their unbeaten record in the tournament.
Ghana set the tone early, striking in the 8th minute when Stella Nyamekye powered home a well-placed finish after finding space inside the box.
The early breakthrough energised the Queens, who pressed relentlessly and controlled the tempo from midfield.
Their momentum paid off again in the 17th minute, this time through Israeli-based forward Doris Boaduwaa, who finished off a rapid counterattack with a thunderous shot.
The striker wasn’t done yet—she added her second and Ghana’s third in the 33rd minute, showing great composure to complete a first-half brace.
While the second half proved to be tough as Russia grew well into the game, Ghana still managed to find the net again through newbie Ajegipina Zakaria – who now has two goals in two games, less than the supposed 180 minutes for the senior national team.
Having now recorded back-to-back wins, scoring eight goals and conceding none, the Black Queens look well on track as they build rhythm for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations slated for later this month.
Their next assignment comes on March 6, when they lock horns with their African rivals Tanzania in what promises to be another crucial test of their tournament form.
