Base Pay: My Officials Will Also Make Sacrifices to Alleviate Hardship- Govt

The government of Ghana says its officials will play their role in the shared sacrifice to revert the country back to economic stability and growth.

It comes after Organised Labour agreed on a 10% Base Pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) for 2025 and a minimum wage of ₵ 19.97 from ₵18.15.

In a statement expressing appreciation to organized labour for their sacrifice and understanding, the President indicated that his officials will likewise make their portion for the betterment of the country.

“The President also reiterates his commitment to prudence in the management of public finances with an emphasis on modesty and sacrifice on the part of all government officials even as work goes into economic recovery and the alleviation of hardships.”

Additionally, the President assured of his commitment to work closely with them in the effort to resuscitate the economy and matters relating to the welfare of Ghanaian workers.
