Ashanti Region Deserves Better: Suame Youth Association Bear Teeth Over NPP Government
The Suame Youth Association has bear teeth at the New Patriotic Party Government led by President Akufo-Addo due to the lack of monumental developments in the Ashanti Region.
At a press conference at Suame Magazine on Wednesday, June 6, 2022, the group Chairman, Nana Owusu Ampofo Twumasi who was furious stated that Ashanti Region brought NPP into Government, specifically President Akufo-Addo but there is no monumental development in the Region which goes contrary to the sayings “To whom much is given, much is expected”.
He said, they are calling on President Akufo-Addo to give Ashanti Region its fair share of the National cake as far as roads and other developmental projects are concerned.
They reiterated that, Boankra Inland Port, Anloga fly-over, Airport roundabout fly-over, Suame interchange, and other uncompleted projects, all have not seen the light of the day and turned into political rhetoric.
According to the irritate Youth, irrespective of hardship in the country, developmental projects are ongoing in the other Regions but Ashanti Region lagged in monumental projects.
In addition, Nana Ampofo Twumasi speaking to Opemsuo Radio’s Kwame Adu Gyamfi Kumanin, bemoaned the abandoned and uncompleted hospital project in the Ashanti Region.
According to him, all the 47 Members of Parliament in the Ashanti Region do not have Ashanti Region development at heart but rather their selfish interests.
On behalf of the Suame Youth, Nana Ampofo Twumasi gave President Akufo-Addo and the NPP Government end of 2022, to see monumental projects else they will advise themselves concerning the 2024 general elections.
