Asanteman Mourns: Asantehemaa’s Wisdom Will Be Remembered With Admiration- British High Commission

The British High Commission has joined the Asante Kingdom in mourning the passing of the revered Queen, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, which occurred last week.

In a tribute, it said the traditional leader will be missed for her service and wisdom with which she served the Kingdom.

In a Facebook post, the High Commission underscored, “Her legacy of wisdom, strength, and service to the Asante Kingdom will be remembered with reverence and admiration.”

“We share in your sorrow and stand in solidarity with you during this time of mourning. May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may you find comfort in the love and unity of your people.”

Meanwhile, it offered a heartfelt condolence to the King.

“The High Commission of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland extend our deepest condolences to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the royal family, and the entire Asante people on the passing of the Queen Mother, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.”

Nana Konadu Yiadom passed away on August 7, 2025. Her death was formally announced on August 11 by His Majesty the King.

August 21 has been set to observe Her Majesty’s One-Week.
