Asantehene Assigns Kumawuhene, Bekwaihene, Others to Boards, Committees

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, has assigned five Paramount Chiefs to various regional committees, councils, and boards.

They will be representing His Majesty in the respective capacities.

Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, Kumawuhene, with his medical professional background, will serve on the Regional Health Committee, Komfo Anokye Board Nursing Training Board, and Ghana AIDS Committee, Otumfuo announced.

Nana Osei Kwadwo Ababio, Bekwaihene, was assigned to the Sports Committee while Nana Owusu Ampa, Oboguhene, was assigned to the Regional Police Council.

Meanwhile, Nana Okyere Kusi Aduako II, Asumegyahene and Barima Ogyeabour Amankwaa Adunan IV, Kuntenasehene, have been assigned to the Regional Coordinating Council.

Otumfuo encouraged them to leverage their respective expertise to serve the country.

Their new roles were announced at the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs meeting on December 19, 2025.
