Asante Kotoko Season Crumbles In A Pale Fashion

Fabulous Asante Kotoko season seems to have been crumbled in a pale fashion following their last two results in the ongoing season.

The defending champion is without a win in their last two Premier League matches against Accra Great Olympics and Tamale City.

The Vociferous supporters envisaged that their club will return to the winning ways having lost 2-0 to Great Olympics to give them another hope of defending the league trophy but that was not the outcome.

Tamale City pulled off scintillating performance to get a point at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, leaving the supporters of the Ghanaian giant disappointed.

Rocky Dwanema received a short pass a few mitres behind the centre circle before launching a thunderous strike, which beat the Tamale City goalkeeper Tijani Cissé.

The Tamale Citizens got the equalising goal a few minutes later through Mohammed Yahaya after taking advantage of a defensive mishap by Kotoko.

Kotoko remains in the 6th position on the league standings with 43 points from 29 matches and are seven points behind leaders Aduana Stars, who have a game in hand.

With five matches left to end the season and with the current performance of the player, it looks likely that it will be extremely difficult for the Porcupine Warriors to defend the league.

There has not been any major changes even after the Burkinabee gaffer Seydou Zerbo was sacked for exhibition of poor performance.

Kotoko has won 11 matches, drew 10 and lost 8 this season which is far below of what they exhibited last season.
