Ancestral Foundation Partners Hope For Life Foundation for Community Health Outreach Programme

The Ancestral Foundation, in collaboration with the Hope For Life Foundation, led by renowned poet Prof. Fredrick Owusu Nyarko (Ancestral Poet), has successfully registered over 600 residents of Bomaa in Tano North Municipality of the Ahafo Region under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

The registration campaign, held on January 2, 2025, was part of the foundations’ ongoing community development and outreach initiatives aimed at fostering partnerships between the organizations and local communities.

Approximately 500 children and 113 adults received NHIS cards, granting them access to healthcare services at accredited facilities. This initiative underscores the vital role non-profit organizations play in supporting community development and enhancing living standards.

In an interview, Prof. Fredrick Owusu Nyarko called on other organizations to join him in supporting the less privileged.

“It is a civic responsibility for non-profit organizations to support community development in all aspects to improve living standards. We have various socio-economic intervention projects at the community level and are extending invitations to individuals and institutions to partner with us in strengthening our communities. Community development is a collective effort to build support systems for the less privileged. Let us all contribute our quota as a civic responsibility. All hands on board.”

He further expressed his gratitude, describing it as a privilege to serve his community. He also pledged to extend similar initiatives to neighbouring towns in the near future.

“We are most grateful to our team, Bomaa Government Hospital, and the people of Bomaa for coming out in their numbers to support.”
