Always Represent Asanteman’s Interest; Otumfuo to Elected National House Reps
The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has charged the five elected representatives of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs to the National House of Chiefs to prioritise the interests of Asanteman at the national level.
He noted that their mandate is not to represent their personal interests but that of the Kingdom.
At the last Regional House meeting on November 15, 2024 when they were elected, the Occupant of the Golden Stool challenged them to be outspoken and take stances according to the dictates of the culture and tradition of Asanteman.
“You are not going to represent yourselves so whatever you do should align with the traditions of Asanteman. Don’t cower into silence, work to our honour. Do not allow anything un-Asante go through.”
Elects
The elects are Mamponghene Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Kumawuhene Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua, Domeabrahene Baffuor Owusu Bediako and Bompatahene Nana Effah Appenteng.
Their election was supervised by the Electoral Officer for Manhyia North, Mr Adu Yeboah.
