Alan Scheduled For Greater Accra Market Tour

Following his successful tour in Bantama in the Ashanti Region, Presidential aspirant for the Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen will head to eight marketplaces in the Greater Accra Region.

He will tour the Makola, Okaishie, Abossey-Okai, Kaneshie and Kokompe Markets on Friday, February 23 and then head to Tema Community 1, Ashaiman and Madina on Monday, February 26.

“I am thrilled to announce our upcoming Greater Accra Market Tour. This tour presents a unique opportunity for intense engagement with the resilient market men and women, suppliers, and buyers who form part of the critical spinal column of our economy,” he said as he announced his tour in a Facebook post on February 19.

According to him, the tour will enable him to connect directly with the vibrant voices of Ghanaian market communities to lend the needed attention to their concerns and aspirations.

Alan began the market tour in Bantama and the Adum business district in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

After the tour, he shared how his encounter with the base fueled fresh visions for his aspirations. Buttressing on an encounter with orphaned children begging for alms on the street, he said a sense of commitment to support vulnerable children when elected President has been kindled in him.

“As I envision the future, I am committed to providing tangible support to orphaned children as well as other disadvantaged children through the social welfare department. This means we need to revamp the department with the required resources to be able to provide that imperative social service.

“Moreover, I see the importance of creating market-based support centres and providing essential services like teaching, counselling, healthcare, and nutritional assistance to these children. These centres will be havens of safety and support, nurturing not just their material needs but also their emotional and psychological well-being,” he shared in a post three days ago.
