Akwasidae: Renowned Artist Sharon Padi Avails Herself for Manhyia Museum Ambassador Role

Construction Project Manager and painter Sharon Dede Padi has availed herself for the role of Brand Ambassador of the Manhyia Palace Museum in Kumasi.
She intends to increase the visibility and reach of the Palace while enhancing the positive brand image of the royal repository globally using her influence.
The Chief Executive Officer of Padiki Arts Gallery made the request on May 25, 2025, during the Fourth Akwasidae Festival celebration at the Manhyia Palace.
“Though it’s not completed yet, I want to be the Brand Ambassador of the Manhyia Palace Museum so I can promote it in Ghana and beyond.”

The unsuccessful Guinness World Record (GWR) paint-a-thon attempter intends to take on this role as an expression of her gratitude to His Majesty, the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
At the durbar grounds, Padi recalled how His Majesty adopted and fostered her at a tender age.
“When I was studying at KNUST, my mother gave me to His Majesty, and he catered for me. I was at the Arts Award. I am immensely happy. I know I cannot repay it, but I will offer the little I can to help Asanteman.”
She also presented, as gifts, three paintings of the King, his wife, and the Museum.
