Akufo-Addo Welcomes New Envoys
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has welcomed five new envoys into the country.
The envoys are from the Republic of Guinea, Canada, New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Mauritius.
The Republic of Guinea is being represented by H.E. Mr Jean Matho Dore; Canada by H.E. Ms Martine Moreau; New Zealand by H.E. Mr Michael Ian Upton; The People’s Republic of Bangladesh by H.E. Mr Mohammed Shahdat; and The Islamic Republic of Mauritania by H.E. Mr Mohammed Abdellahi.
Their meeting with the President was on Monday, February 27 when they presented their credentials to him at the Jubilee House.
Welcoming them, the President congratulated them on their appointments and assured them of the country’s readiness to support them in the discharge of their duties.
A social media post by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said President Akufo-Addo further indicated that the Government of Ghana was prepared to engage with their respective Governments in areas of mutual interest such as education, agriculture, health, trade, and investments and amongst others, for mutual benefits.
The Ministry said the envoys also assured the President of their quest to deepen the already existing good relations between their respective countries and Ghana for mutual benefit.
