Afronita and Abigail Through To Britain’s Got Talent Finals
A highly impressive showpiece at the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent saw Ghanaian duo, Afronita and Abigail Dromo of Talented Kids fame sailing through to the finals.
The electrifying performance of the team on Thursday, May 30, 2024 earned them a standing ovation from both the audience and all four judges.
Their energetic performance sent the audience haywire and frenzy as they screamed approvingly to the team’s beautiful dance craft which featured some Ghanaian songs like Azonto.
The reaction of the audience continued even as the judges delivered their verdicts.
The impressed judges didn’t have much to say as they used the reaction of the audience as the yardstick.
“Sometimes there aren’t not enough words to articulate because the audience says it for us. So much natural source, so much flavour, so much personality and so much joy that you brought to the British Got Talent stage. I would love to see you in the finals,” Alesha Dixon commented.
Amanda Holden who couldn’t agree more admired the team as she stated, “You are absolutely unbelievable and even better than your first audition.”
Bruno Tonioli touted the Ghanaian duo as unique and commended their choice of songs.
“You make me happy…Your individual style of dancing is so unique and so beautiful. Your music quality is out of this world and your personality really shines through: it illuminates the building.”
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell announced his premeditated choice as winner of the competition had been altered.
“What is going on behind me is more important than what I say…I thought last night that I know who is going to win this show this year and I just changed my mind.”
Afronita and Abigail subsequently emerged winners of the semi-finals on Thursday.
The finals will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024 and the Ghanaians will be fighting for the ultimate with Northants Sings Out.
Ghanaians at home have also been reacting to the news with excitement showing the two much love and support.
