Accra Metropolitan University Offers Full Scholarships to 20 Firefighters
Twenty Firefighters with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) will enjoy full scholarships to the Accra Metropolitan University, the Service has announced.
The AMU has designed the package to support ten undergraduate and ten postgraduate students to pursue various academic programmes.
The President of the tertiary institution Prof. Mrs. Goski Alabi, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, led a delegation to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Headquarters to present certificates of the package.
The Acting Chief Fire Officer, AG CFO Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong, received it.
Prof. Mrs Alabi, in her remarks, commended the GNFS for its unwavering service to the nation and emphasized that the scholarship offers to mark the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership between AMU and the GNFS, with the promise of more collaborative initiatives in the near future.
DCFO James Owusu-Agyei, representing the Chief Fire Officer, conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the AMU team for the generous gesture, noting its importance in enhancing the professional and academic growth of fire personnel.
